Yes, at Bank on Movement our Team are registered with most private insurance agencies such as Aviva, Axa, Bupa, CHP, HCML, IPRS, PhysioMed, ProClaim, Pronto, Speed Medical/OPM, The Physio Network, VHG, Westfields and more.
If you would like to book in with us through your insurance, how to do this would depend upon your cover so we recommend that you speak to your insurance first.
Patients with a cash-back plan would need to confirm with their insurance as to how much they would be covered for and then claim back after each session until their allowance has been exhausted. We will give you a receipt after your session.
Private healthcare patients are required to book in via phone with our friendly reception team to ensure that they are booked in under the correct insurance provider.
-
Upon arrival at the clinic for your initial assessment, you will be able to wait in our small, cosy waiting area (situated to the right when you follow the corridor into the clinic). We have water and tea/coffee available in reception and once your physiotherapist is available, they will approach the waiting area and take you through to one of our Treatment Rooms.
Here you will be able to discuss your injury and/or concerns with your physiotherapist in depth who will then put together a treatment plan with you. If you have booked an hour initial assessment, your physiotherapist will begin with a treatment session towards the second half of your appointment.
When you have finished your treatment, your physiotherapist will direct you through to reception where our friendly reception team will book you in for your next session (if necessary) and, if you’re a private patient, take payment.
If appropriate, your physiotherapist will either print off or email through exercises for you to follow between your sessions. If you have any questions or queries in between your sessions you are welcome to call us on 01433 623 602, our Team would be more than happy to help you in any way that they can.

At Bank on Movement, there is on-street parking available along the front of the clinic and by the church as well as around the back of the Church along School Lane.
There is disabled parking by the Church and a car park nearby just past The Woodroffe Arms.

Whilst this depends upon what area will be treated, we usually advise:
Hips & Knees: Loose shorts or baggy trousers
Back: Loose, relaxed t-shirt.
Shoulders & Neck: a vest
-
This all depends upon the injury and its history. If you have recently had any scans, x-rays or consultations relating to the injury, any paperwork may be useful for the physiotherapists however this isn’t always necessary.
If you do have documents, feel free to bring them with you as our team can always take a look and make a record of anything that they think is relevant.
If you’re still not sure, please call our friendly reception team who will be able to advise on what’s best for you.

The total number of sessions needed varies from patient to patient and is usually determined by several factors, such as; how the injury occurred, how long the problem has been present, your lifestyle, how consistent you are with following your rehab plan (e.g. exercises) and what your goals are. However, most moderate musculoskeletal injuries typically require somewhere between 3 and 6 physiotherapy sessions.
The regularity and length of your sessions can be discussed with your physiotherapist as there are other factors that may alter or change this as you go through your rehabilitation.
-
Again, this all depends upon the specific issue involved, how long the problem has been present and how consistently you follow the rehabilitation plan. On average, most moderate musculoskeletal injuries require 3 to 6 sessions over a 4-10 week period.
Although, we have had patients who have felt enough of a significant improvement in their milder ailment(s) after 2 sessions but we also have patients who are seen regularly for long-term pain management and support.
-
After your first treatment, you will hopefully feel relieved after a diagnosis of your condition or problem and will have a clear idea of how to address, remedy and resolve your issue so you can keep doing what you love.
You may feel a little sore, particularly after your first session, but our physiotherapy team are on-hand to chat to if you have any concerns. Feeding back how you felt after your session can help us in our assessment and treatment of your problem as this will help your physiotherapist understand your condition further.
-
There are times when our physiotherapists have had to refer patients back to their GP for further exploration of an issue, e.g. MRI, x-ray or ultrasound scan. Having these details on file means that we can contact your GP directly as quickly as possible to ensure that you get the help that you need to get your life back on track!
-
Don’t worry! Our team can pull together a paper copy of the online forms for you to fill out upon your arrival at the clinic. All you need to do is let our team know ahead of the appointment and ensure that you arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment as this gives you enough time to complete the paperwork without impacting your appointment.
