About Bank on Movement, Physiotherapy in Hope

Physiotherapy starts with listening.

Great physiotherapy is about more than understanding how the body works. It’s about understanding the person. Everyone’s experience is different, so your treatment should be too. We take the time to understand you before deciding on the right approach.

Georgina Hollinrake

FOUNDER & PHYSIOTHERAPIST

I’m George, founder and lead physiotherapist at Bank On Movement. I’ve been a physiotherapist for over 26 years, working across the NHS, private hospitals and private practice, treating everything from musculoskeletal injuries to long term pain and post operative rehabilitation. My fascination with the human body began in childhood, long before physiotherapy became my career. My approach is rooted in listening and the biopsychosocial model, helping people understand their bodies and move with confidence. Outside work, life is full—family, pets, running, yoga, paddleboarding and community projects. Whoever you are and whatever you’re facing, you’ll be welcomed, supported and truly heard. Tommy

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

I qualified in 2025 after completing my Master’s at Sheffield Hallam University while working as a personal trainer. I enjoy treating sporting injuries and helping active people return to training confidently. My background in sport science and coaching shaped my passion for understanding movement and supporting people through recovery. I focus on personalised, sustainable rehab that fits each patient’s lifestyle. Outside the clinic, I love road and gravel cycling, hiking and travelling. Whether you’re recovering from injury or aiming to move with confidence, my goal is to make you feel supported from day one.

Nikki, Physiotherapist at Bank on Movement based in Hope

Nikki

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

My interest in human biology grew through competitive running, where physiotherapy first showed me how hands on treatment and tailored exercise could keep me active. After studying at Loughborough, I worked in outdoor education and later as an NHS Paramedic before completing my Physiotherapy degree in 2019. I favour a combined manual and exercise based approach, supported by modalities like shockwave, ultrasound, cupping and acupuncture. I’ve worked at the clinic since 2025 and love helping people return to sport or maintain independence in everyday life.

Katie, Sports Massage Therapist at Bank on Movement, Hope Valley and Peak District

Katie

SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST

I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in 2024, having developed a keen interest in the theory and practice of sports massage for injury prevention and management through having regular treatments myself. I love helping people to feel better in themselves and to enjoy their work and play with less pain and more confidence in their movement. Since moving to the Peak District a few years ago I’ve been enjoying everything it has to offer: fell running, gravel riding, cold water swimming and excellent coffee!

Annette

ADMINISTRATOR

I help with admin and reception duties one day per week. I'm loving working here! Everyone is really friendly; it's a super team and I'm working close to home in a service that really does make a difference to its patients. It's lovely to hear how people appreciate and feel the benefit from their treatment. When not at the clinic, I can be found volunteering at Longshaw NT and walking the Peaks District paths. I'm also a keen bell-ringer, Sewing Bee groupie and local book group member. I look forward to seeing you in the clinic soon.

ADMINISTRATOR

I’ve been part of the clinic for four years. I love supporting our team and getting to know our wonderful patients. Before joining in 2022, I spent several years travelling and working in the fashion industry across Istanbul, China, Hong Kong and Auckland, experiences that shaped my love of people, culture and creativity. Now settled in the Peak District with my two children and our cat, Pickle, I enjoy countryside walks, baking, drawing and painting. Lately, I’ve been busy decorating our home and bringing my children’s imaginative bedroom ideas to life.

ADMINISTRATOR

Hi, I’m Sophie and I have worked at the clinic for 18 months but before that I came and did some work experience at the clinic. Following my A levels I hope to go to university to study Health or Sports Science.

In my spare time I enjoy playing netball. I coach gymnastics and I am a member Castleton Silver Band playing the cornet.

As an integrative psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner accredited with the BACP, I offer a safe, collaborative space designed to help you process deep-seated trauma, identify and break free from stuck patterns, and reconnect with your sense of self. My background includes years as a watersports and ski instructor, international mountain bike racing as a firefighter, representing Team GB in the Camel Trophy, and decades of endurance sport — ultras, adventure racing, Gran Fondo and Audax. OUR APPROACH

Looking at the bigger picture

We start by listening. We want to understand what’s happening, how it’s affecting your life, and what you want to be able to do again.

Your physical health is important, but it doesn’t exist in isolation. Your work, lifestyle, sleep, stress, previous experiences, environment and overall wellbeing can all influence how you feel and function.

This is at the heart of our biopsychosocial approach. Rather than focusing solely on the area that hurts, we take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Because understanding the whole person helps us understand the problem more fully.

TOGETHER WE WILL HELP YOU
